Deputy Director and Chief Advancement Officer Philadelphia Museum of Art | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Watson to the role of deputy director and chief advancement officer, effective October 2, 2023. A senior fundraising executive with a passion for the arts, Kim joins the PMA from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) where she was vice president of development. In this role, Kim successfully led her team to raise funds through contributed revenue to support the operating budget, special projects, and acquisitions. These efforts enabled LACMA to present diverse exhibitions and public programs as well as provide free admission for students and families. Prior to joining LACMA, Kim was the senior director of development for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where she led the team to achieve a $50 million campaign to support Ailey’s building expansion and new programmatic initiatives. Kim also held fundraising roles at the High Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in history from SUNY Binghamton and a master’s degree in public administration from the Robert F.
