Associate Vice President for Campus Libraries Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey | New Brunswick, New Jersey Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has selected Caroline Muglia as its Associate Vice President for Campus Libraries. She will assume her new role on January 2, 2024. Caroline Muglia has been at the University of Southern California (USC) since 2015 and is currently Associate Dean for Specialized Collections at the USC Libraries. She also serves as Director for the Masters in Management in Library and Information Science program at the university. She has been recognized for her scholarship, leadership, and innovative approach to practice: in both 2019 and 2023 she was an awardee for Outstanding Paper in the Emerald Literati Awards, and in 2017 she was a winner of the Fast Pitch Innovation Contest, sponsored by the Steve Godall Foundation. She was also a 2018 participant in the Association for Research Libraries (ARL) Leadership Fellows Program. Before joining USC, she was at the Library of Congress and Duke University Libraries, and earlier she worked for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).Caroline Muglia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies/Africana Studies from Bard College, a Master of Arts in Public History from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
