Executive Director University of Michigan, Michigan Neuroscience Institute | Ann Arbor, Michigan We are pleased to announce that Ravi Allada, M.D., has been appointed executive director of the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI), the Theophile Raphael, M.D., Collegiate Professor of Neurosciences, and a professor of anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. His appointment begins September 1, 2023. He has served as professor and chair of the Department of Neurobiology at Northwestern University since 2012, and in 2015 he was appointed the Edward C. Stuntz Distinguished Professor in Neuroscience. He also holds professor appointments in the departments of Pathology and Neurology. Allada received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed a residency in clinical pathology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He was both a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI)-National Institutes of Health Research Scholar and an HHMI Physician Postdoctoral Fellow during his training.
