Director of Strategic Communications The Winsor School | Boston, Massachusetts The Winsor School (Winsor) is pleased to announce the appointment of Janelle Browning as director of strategic communications, effective July 3, 2023. Reporting to Dr. Sarah Pelmas, head of school, Browning will define and lead a comprehensive communications strategy to support Winsor’s current priorities and ambitions for the future. An accomplished communications and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience, Browning joins Winsor from Berklee College of Music (Berklee) where, since 2003, she has held roles with progressive responsibilities. Most recently as senior director of communications and marketing, a role she held since 2015, Browning managed brand strategy and implementation for all communications and marketing efforts across Berklee’s print and digital channels. A key member of the external relations senior leadership team, Browning worked in close collaboration with the provost and senior vice presidents of enrollemnt, advancement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion to develop content strategies to elevate awareness of the Berklee brand and programs to both internal and external constituencies. Browning earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Truman State University and a master of arts degree from Colorado State University.
